hotellocators.com Informative - THIS IS NOT A FREE SERVICE

Review by zucccchini on 2005-05-03
I used the internet to look up a certain hotel in an area I would be staying with my club that had planned an outing. Since I am the person that made the initial arrangements, I agreed to make the reservations for another couple at the same hotel the others were staying. I really did not pay much attention to how and WHO I was making the reservation through, I just wanted the reservations. At no time did I notice it would cost me an extra $5 to go through this online .com. Shortly thereafter it showed up on my bank statement that $5 had been forwarded to these people.
So what for. I could have got the same service at the hotel on line.
LIVE AND LEARN. DO NOT USE HOTELLOCATORS.COM. unless you want to pay $5 for nothing.

Many travel websites will either charge a fee for using their service, or require pre-payment, even when not required by the hotel itself.

These sites can be great research tools, but generally the same deals can be found booking directly with the hotel/airline/car rental agency, and fees/prepayment can be avoided.

You mean they want money for their service & are not willing to provide it for free out of the kindness of their hearts? I never heard of such a thing!
