Quibids Complaint - Quibid Non-Return Policy

I used this auction last fall for the first time and after bidding up (I think I was set up by shill bidders), I decided to limit my losses and buy the two items I was bidding on.

I ended up paying at least twice the cost of what I would have for a pillow and a voice activated alarm clock, but chalked it up to my culpability and a caveat to never 'shop' there again. At least, I thought, I had two holiday gifts covered.

However the DHL delivery of the clock apparently included a Hail Mary pass of the clock onto my porch. Opening the box (no peanuts or wadded paper)I found it shattered into several pieces. This is when my nightmare before Christams began.

I emailed Qbids and they told me to send it back to a 'camera' shop in New Jersey. I contacted the camera shop and they told me they were NOT responsible for broken items, Qbids was. Qbids then told me they were not responsible, that the camera shop was. I asked Qbids for a perpaid mailing label to return it, and they refused. The camera shop did the smae thing - neither would take responsibility for an item that was broken.

In frustration, after a few weeks of the runaround, I gave up. Three cheers for Qbids. This end was apparently their customer 'service' strategy.

id dispute it with your credit card. Trust me, they will try to be moer helpful when they see that chargeback on their records.
