Marlboro Complaint - Outwit The West Prize Not Delivered

Review by dncarm6199 on 2011-03-11
In Marlboro's contest 'Outwit The West' I used points earned in the contest to order offered prize of 'beef jerky sampler' I have never received the jerky and neither have any of my friends who used their points for this. All the other prizes were delivered right away, but no beef jerky to this day.

I didn't not know what a Marlboro point was, until I looked it up. Interesting. Have you tried contacting them?

Maybe they ran out, I don't know, but you won't know if you don't contact them. They cannot attempt to correct, what they are not made aware of.

A Marlboro point used to be the "miles" that were next to the UPC codes on the packs. Since the FDA took over the regulation of cigarettes, Marlboro had to discontinue the "Marlboro Miles" promotions, as well as Camel's "C-Notes" and the Raleigh/Belair coupons. Tcotchkes bearing cigarette logos (such as lighters, ashtrays, clothing, backpacks, playing cards, etc.) are prohibited now as well. Unless this was a foreign promotion...some foreign countries do not regulate cigarettes like the US does now. I don't think US cigarette companies are allowed to have sweepstakes and contests anymore.
