Direct TV Complaint - Credit Card Charged Twice For Same Service On Same Day At Different Prices
When I signed up with direct TV the coast that was quoted to be charged to my daughter's card was $19.00 and some change plus tax. But when my daughter checked the charge, there were two charges from direct TV. One was twenty one and some change and the other was $34.20. Every time I called direct TV about the charges the gave me a different reason for the $34.20 charge that was not to be charge to the card. The last reason they gave me after all the others didn't prove out, and I called to cancel the order, was that the bank was holding the charge to the card and it would be returned to the card after fifteen days. The fifteen days was not be until after they had connected the services. I Should have known it was something not right but I agreed to let them connect the service, and wait fifteen days for the $34.20 to be returned to the card. And my first thought was right, the money was not returned, and when I asked about it they told me I would have to send a copy of the bill from the bank, and after I did that they told me I would have to wait until they decided what to do.
By this time I am very upset, so I told them that I wanted to cancel the service, and that I knew I could because I was still in the time limit for doing that. Well then I was told that I would write in a reguest. I did not want to led down another died end, so I decided to let the contract expire and then cancel. So I tried to get the local channels, but woundn't you know I was denied. I felt like this was because I had been flaged as a problem customer.
