United Airlines Compliment - No Charge for Change of Reservations
A few days ago I made my husband a reservation to go home for 2 weeks. Then he found out that he could take 3 weeks vacation, so I had to call United to reschedule the trip.
United has been impossible to reach the past few days, I'm guessing because of the disasters in Japan. That is totally understandable.
Today I reached a local office in Singapore. I explained that I had to reschedule the return trip on my husband's reservation. It took quite some time for the agent to reschedule the trip, about 35 minutes, because the computers were running slow. She was very apologetic and thanked me for being so patient.
When she was done rescheduling and making sure the price hadn't changed (which it hadn't), she asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I asked what the rescheduling charge would be so I could give her our credit card number. Her reply was that there would be no charge! I was expecting at least a $100 charge, which we were willing to accept. We knew we did not have a ticket that was refundable and that there would be a charge if we had to reschedule.
This isn't the first compliment I've written about United and I know it may be getting old, but their customer service is pretty great if you ask me.
