Claim Jumpers Complaint - Burnt to a crisp! - Frozen Chicken Pot Pie, Microwavable

Frozen Chicken Pot Pie, Microwavable - Complaint
Review by Outdoorguy on 2011-03-14
LA, CALIFORNIA -- My wife brought this item home, said it was on sale, I say it was a waist of money.
I followed the instructions on the box for microwaves with more then 1100 watts and used the lower cooking time, 10 minutes on high power.
The entire bottom crust was burnt to a crisp and the top was black around the entire edge about 1/2 an inch deep towards the center.
I just tossed it out! Who wants to eat anything that looks like this?
I wrote to the e-mail address on the box but it seems that they've closed down their address as it came back as a delivery failure and I checked the address three times "comments@claimjumperretail. Additionally as I understand from doing a internet search for Claim Jumper, they're in the process of selling off their frozen food division.
No wonder as it would apear that they don't have a clue as to how to cook their own product.

It has been my experience that a good food provider does not guarantee a qality frozen dish. Frozen White Castles, Clim Jumper, Marie Callender, and Bob Evans have all been disappointments. In defene of White Castle, they are only East of the Mississippi, and the drive to St. Louis for a bag of sliders is impossible, so we buy the frozen ones at the stores. Once you have eaten a fresh, hot White Casle, you want to throw rocks at the frozen ones.

Some frozen dinners are not worth the low price they offer, like Banquet meals. They are gross and pretty pitiful looking, even for the one dollar price tag on the shelf. Marie Calandars is one of my favorites.

I believe the Marie Callender company is the one that makes a good Chicken Pot Pie. I also think that's the one that has an under lid that browns the crust. They may all now, I just don't know. The small size was dry after cooking but the next size up was good. Probably my microwave or my timing since I don't do enough of those frozen dinners to have it to a fine art.

f you eat at a Marie Callender's restaurant, you will notice a decided difference with the frozen stuff. The restaurant's Cheese Soup is to die for, and they do not offer it frozen.

I agree with NoHandle and Starlord...Marie Callender's is the Best you can buy! They also sell Marie Callender's chicken potpie filling, so you can make your own, using her filling...I buy that just to pour over rice...it's soooo yummmy!!!

Try contacting by writing them a real letter, since the emails are bouncing back. Or call them. Let them know how your meal turned out, following their cooking directions:

I guess I don't shop enough. Is there really a brand named "Claim Jumper"? I wouldn't be interested in buying the Savory Beef Tips with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beens entree from Claim Jumpers. It sounds more like a real estate business.
