Community One Law Complaint - Loan Modification Scam

Review by njn on 2011-03-17
BOCA RATON, FLORIDA -- This company swore and signed a contract that they can and will get my modification done, I paid them the last of my money after losing time at work from illness and lost hours and salary due to cut backs as well.

This started in 2009 since that time they have a totally new staff my file didn't move off a desk for a year then someone called and was yelling at me about being a deadbeat, then they have since vanished off the planet with all my personal information, copies of files etc and I have nothing, I have lost days of pay from work because of court appearances to try to stop the foreclosure and the contract states my money back, well you can't get your money back if they disappear?

This is horrible and there is no one to help.

There are hundreds of mortgage loan modification scams; unfortunately, it sounds like you got taken by one. If they have disappeared, so has your money.

The #1 tip from the Attorney Generals office is never pay upfront fees to any company claiming to be a loan modification company. That is a huge red flag and a sign of a scam.

I'm sorry you had this experience, have you reported this company to the AG's office? Good luck, I hope you get your money back!
