Mr. Electric Compliment - Mr. Electric Western PA Franchise

Review by Alain on 2011-03-17
8847 LANKERSHIM BLVD., SUN VALLEY, CALIFORNIA -- Two days ago my Mother-in-law had a tree branch come down on her electrical line and, while it was quickly repaired by the power company, the residential end of the line needed to be permanently attached to her house. We called the local Mr. Electric office yesterday at 10 AM and they said they would have someone out in the afternoon and he'd call us when he was near the house. At 12 noon he called and he arrived shortly thereafter. The electrician's name was Keil and he was well mannered and clean cut, which is important to my Mother-in-law (who at 77 can be a bit suspicious of repair people she doesn't know). He completed the work in a couple of hours and then did a quick safety check of the wiring and breaker box. Following this he sat down and went over a checklist to make sure we were satisfied with the work. I asked some questions about the company and he explained that Mr. Electric was a division of the Mr. Rooter franchise. The checklist was required as part of the franchise rules.

He was professional, friendly and we will use him again should we need electrical work done. The cost was about $200 (he also gave a senior discount) which we felt reasonable. The western PA franchise of Mr. Electric performed well on this job and we appreciated it. The local phone number is given.

That is good to hear you have found a reputable company.

I feel the same as your mother-in-law about appearance and professionalism. It makes the customer feel comfortable and confident. First impressions are very important.

Glad it all worked out, Alain. Thanks for the recommendation.

This must be a franchise not available in every area because I've never heard of Mr. Electric or Mr. Rooter. Your MIL might be 77 but most people. no matter the age, don't trust someone coming into their home or on their property looking like they slept in a ditch the night before. Everyone doesn't have a plumber or electrician to call and yours is a nice compliment for the company.
