Dish Network Complaint - Do Not Subscribe To Dish Network / Infinity Sales!
LITTLETON, COLORADO -- DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO DISH NETWORK!!!! Not one good thing from this company or their sales company, Infinity.
The most unfriendly consumer services company I've ever experienced!!!
We were signed up by Infinity Sales for Dish TV service. The sales representative stated multiple times that there were no contracts - a full on lie, found out later.
The installer was rude and went over equipment way too fast, misrepresenting what services were available - several more lies. Told we would have a free/low cost movie database and showed it to us quickly, but never found it again. Not even telephone tech support could find the service. Installer and his supervisor did not return calls for help, despite the offer at installation.
DVR recording service was awful. When we decided to cancel because the quality of the TV service was poorly designed and too difficult to manage, we discovered our HUGE cancellation fees. No contract is provided to customer, just signing the electronic pad from the installer. Shouldn't there an obligation by the company to provide the customer a copy of the contract within a timeframe of install?
Customer service is terrible! Policies of this company do not help the customer resolve issues. If you have a problem, it's YOUR fault. Even their Executive Resolution Dept does NOTHING to help actually resolve account problems.
I could not pay the full balance of nearly $400 in fees at once. Charge card on file charged (received advance warning they would, but I did not have the funds, so they couldn't get anything from it). In an effort to explain my case of misrepresentation by the sales company (Infinity) and try to work out the bill, the Executive Resolution Dept agent said I could make payments, but to call him. I did so and he did not return my voice mail. Calling back showed he made a promise that he could not keep. He also did not specify I only had 90 days to pay the full bill amount or be sent to collections. *****Don't they have a legal obligation to let the customer know how long before collection action is taken?**** THERE IS NOT ONE DOCUMENT THAT HAS A NOTATION THAT SPECIFIES THE BILL MUST BE PAID IN FULL WITHIN 90-DAYS!!!!! I've never dealt with a company that is so vague. I think a consumer protection law should be in place here.
