Pella Windows Complaint - Pella Customer Service

Review by al1993 on 2011-03-19
When we built our house we chose Pella windows because we believed they were the best windows on the market. At the Pella store, the manager talked us into buying the premium seacoast hardware.

Almost a year later we moved into the new house and the seacoast hardware started breaking. Pella admitted thaht the metal used in the mechanisms were defective and they came and replaced the one mechanism.

After that all the seacoast hardware started breaking so that you couldn't open or close the windows.

Pella refused to come back and after ten years of correspondence, they finally sent new seacoast hardware. However Pella wouldn't do a courtesy installation.

When a car has a defective part the auto manufacturer doesn't ship you the part to install yourself. We believe Pella customer service should authorize complimentary installation for their defective hardware.

Pella's advertisement states "When it comes to customer satisfaction, we're in it for the long haul." It certainly has been a long haul for us.

Pella could have done better here considering that they pride themselves on their reputation. Maybe next time you'll be considering Andersen, Atrium, or Peachtree, to name a few.
