NetZero Complaint - Free service, isn't free
I signed up for Netzeros internet provider service with the understanding that the first month was free as advertised on their web site at: http://www.netzero.net/ I signed up for their Platinum Service at $9.95 per month with the first month free.
One week later, after having problems, I called to cancel the service and was told that my credit card had already been billed and that I could not get a refund. The operator informed me that since I had already used one hour of their service that the card was billed.
The following is copied and pasted from their web page: " # Your valid credit card, which must be provided at the time of registration, will be automatically charged at the end of the free month unless you cancel your membership before such time. To cancel your service, call 1-866-841-1442."
Either Netzero is not following their own terms and conditions or the operator has given me bad information. Neither makes me feel good about Netzero service so I have been attempting to cancel and get my refund but don't hold out much hope.
