Gary Shaw Car Sales Glasgow Complaint - Gary Shaw Car Sales Complaint

Review by Wee Mo on 2011-03-22
GLASGOW -- Don't buy a car from this very disappointing young con-man. The company is run by a liar and cheat, and will not fix any problems with your car, after he has your cash. He is full of faulse promises, and is a down right liar. Do not, I repeat, do not buy any car from this terrible company. This guy gives all second hand car dealers a bad name. Stay away. After I paid for my car in cash, and he had made promises to repair or replace a couple of faults, (and he is quite convincing), he then changed his mind and decided to take my money and run. He is now refusing to fix or replace anything. What a stupid thing to do. He can't hide though. But please don't waste your money, go and get a better deal and get much better service elsewhere. This guy is a joke and has a lot to learn about business and honesty. Go elsewhere.

Fair or foul, it's what is in writing that counts. Never trust a verbal promise that is not in writing, particularly with a second hand auto.

Exactly what was promised that was not done? What were the problems with the vehicle? What were the lies he told you? Lots of accusations - not much in supporting facts.

Yeah, I never would have bought a car and signed the "as-as" paperwork until he fixed whatever problems I addressed him about.

"What a stupid thing to do." I don't agree - a used car usually has something wrong with it. The trick for the seller is to do the least possible to it to sell it at a certain price.

I agree with Prince-Caesar. Personally I wouldn't sign to buy a car with a "to-do" list, even if itemized on the paperwork. Good luck.
