Samsung Television Complaint - Poor quality/short life of my television

I have owned the television for only 2 and 1/2 years and I am now experiencing ghosting and horizontal lines that I'm told is a first stage toward a complete picture failure that will require repair that will cost equal to or more than purchasing a new television. The television I purchased was considered top of the line at the time of purchase and because it is out of warranty Samsung takes no responsibility or provides me any direct feedback or concern about my experience with their product.

Not a great way to instil customer loyalty and or satisfaction. Clearly I will not be purchasing another Samsung product in the future.

Thank god I don't have Samsung tv. I do have a Memorex 32" and Zenith 42" I had them both for two years and they're doing great.

The Korean translation for Samsung is "s*@t". I have had Samsung products in the past, had a lot of trouble getting warranty work completed, and have vowed to never purchase another Samsung product, ever.

I have found that the plasmas from Panasonic are of good quality, the plasma gives a better color picture as well as darker blacks. I got a 42" 720p for 500 dollars a year ago last Christmas, and now that price is around 400 dollars. I would recommend staying away from LCD (LED is the backlight, LCD is the technology) when you can get a plasma for less and it has better quality.
