Ygnition Networks Complaint - Ygnition internet sucks! - High speed internet

High speed internet - Complaint
Review by elliott242 on 2011-03-26
I rented an apartment and was introduced into the monopoly in which is Ygnition. I tried my best to avoid it but was sucked into their lies as soon as I signed the lease.

Over the last 3 months I have tested my connection numerous times and have not been higher than 5 mps on download. The other day I tested at an all time low of. 22 mps!!! For anyone that doesn't know what this means its slow. It may take 3 or 4 hrs to download a song or two. Can you say SLOOOOOOOOOW! It has not been much faster than my phone's connection so I would rather pay $15 to have a 3g connection on my phone.

Their substandard base cable directly connects into your television meaning that you have no graphical interface, in which everyone including myself is used to. That means you can't browse to see what is on an hour or two. At almost the same as many of the other companies it is hardely a bargain. Ok, so I don't watch TV so I didn't mind.

Other than that the service is terrible. The service techs seem like a bunch of high school drop outs. Most importantly it is a company that by all means you should avoid! Buy movies, Rent movies, play Xbox, learn to get internet by your cellphone. JUST DON"T GET YGNITION!!!

Cable internet has a theoretical advantage over DSL, but with caps and number of users, this advantage can evaporate at peak times. I'd give my eye teeth for 5mbps.

We routinely do 5mpbs over wireless. We have TWC too. I would never have DSL...my FIL has AT&T and his speed test wasn't even at 1mbps! Yuck.

Also what internet do you have? The cheapest option is always super slow!
