General Motors Complaint - 2002 Monte Carlo - Terrible Customer Support/Terrible Automobile
PO BOX 33170 DETROIT, MICHIGAN -- My 2002 Monte Carlo with 64,000 miles is completely falling apart! Although it has been well maintained from the very start, now that the extended warranty is GONE, so is their service! GM tells you it's all due to age. So you mean to tell me GM makes cars to last ONLY NINE YEARS now? What a shame! I guess this means we had all better stay away from GM. Our family has always bought Chevrolets, however, I can guarantee you this much, it WILL BE THE LAST. It needs Control Arm, Bushings, I-Shaft, Valve Cover Gaskets, Lower Trans Line, Rear Right Sway Bar, Rear Window does not defraust, Cowal is cracked leaking water inside my car, needs a new shifter, needs a new blower-fan only works on 3, 1&2 do not work. What I was told from GM's Service Specialist is that my car should NOT be falling apart like this but because there was so much wrong he passed me to the District Specialist who's so called "Customer Service" went immediately from sympathy to "you should have bought another extended warranty, then it would have been covered" is what I was told from the "District Specialist". Well when they sell their cars, why don't they say "we now are only making our cars to last nine years so buyer beware take out all the warranties you can because we are now making junk!"
