Lowe's Informative - Lowe's Service Advantage - extended service policy is a Rip-off
HURST, TEXAS -- I purhcased two tankless water heaters at Lowe's. They talked me in to taking out a "Service Advantage" extended warranty plan. Well, sure enough one of them has been bad from the get-go and has finally died. Turns out Lowe's only sells the plan for another company and put their name on the paperwork. Another entity manages the plan, and contracts with another vendor who contracts with other service dealers to do the warrnty work. Four appointments later, after waiting over 20 hours, I finally had one show up. He immediately told me they don't work on that brand and I would have to reschedule to have someone else come out there.
I have not had hot water in house for 3 weeks but they don't care. Everytime I talk to someone I get a different story. Someone has finally kicked it up to "upper management" to make a decision on how to handle the situation. They should be back to me within 4-5 business days.
I bet their water heater works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to the store where I bought it and they can't help me. It's out of their hands.
