Clearwire Complaint - Barely Better Than Dial-Up
Get Clearwire internet ONLY AS A LAST RESORT -- if no other internet service provider is available. Clearwire is horribly slow and completely unreliable. I've wasted hours simply trying to log on the internet and stay on. It certainly is not worth $60/month. The company also seems to be dishonest in that they advertise that you get unlimited service on their 4G network, while the 3G is limited to 5 free "gigs" per month. What they don't say is that the 4G network barely works and, if you're on it "too" long (in Clearwire's opinion), then strange things start to happen, like your browser ignoring your search requests and re-routing you to "youtubedownloader....," which completely jams your computer up, mysterious computer freeze-ups requiring rebooting, etc. Amazingly, the 3G network never presents any such problems. The point is that Clearwire really wants you on the 3G network so you can use up your 5 gigs and pay extra when you go beyond that in a month(and there's no way to track your usage on the 3G network, so you'll just have to take Clearwire's word for how much you have actually used -- and it's not hard to use up 5 gigs -- just view a few Youtube videos, and you're done). Anyway, buyer beware!
