Target Compliment - Customer service was right on target!
FARMINGTON, NEW MEXICO -- Last night, I ended up working later than expected. I had been planning to buy a webcam all week, so the time of night was going to be overlooked. It was approximately 9:30pm, and I knew the model I wanted was at Target. I was slightly apprehensive knowing that the store would be closing in 30-minutes or less.
I dashed towards the electronics department, and roamed around clueless for about 5-10 minutes. I could hear the store clock ticking in my head as the countdown to closing time was drawing near. I looked around for the nearest customer service representative, but there was no one in sight. I was ready to give up on my endeavor, when I noticed a small red box on the cashier's desk. It has a button that you push for help. I thought, "yeah right" this late at night? I humored myself and pushed it anyways. Within 5-seconds (NO EXAGGERATION), a representative was there. She was 1-2 aisles over in the toy department.
I expected a tired, disgruntled employee at that time of night. She was anything but. Instead, she was bright and energetic. She walked me the correct aisle, and even pointed out which webcams were on sale. Wouldn't you know it...the one I wanted was on sale! I thanked her for her help and made my way to the check-out register up front. The cashier there was equally as polite and courteous. That is one of the more pleasant shopping experiences I have ever had...at any store!
