South Florida Collision, LLC Complaint - Ripped off by South Florida Collision - am not alone!

Review by FranciscoC on 2011-04-03
NORTH MIAMI, FLORIDA -- On November 22nd, 2010 after being involved in an auto traffic accident, I drove my car to South Florida Collision, LLC (in North Miami, FL) for repair as they were recommended by the tower at the scene of the accident. Geico, the insurance company estimated a 40 hour repair and appropriately paid 3 weeks car rental. Unfortunately, it took over 2 months to get my car back. Throughout this time I was promised by the owner, and his manager (whom both acknowledged a heavy workload as cause for the delay) that I would be fully reimbursed. Not only were the funds not made available throughout this vexing and unwarrantably lengthy repair but at the time of picking up my car no reimbursement was made (“check not signed”) and only further promises to refund my $839.86 out of pocket costs were made.

My many subsequent phone calls (none returned), office visits, sit-ins and conversations with other disgruntled customers I met there have only reinforced my feeling of having been made a fool of.

Get everything in writing. If you have that, you can get a lawyer and fight this out in court. Otherwise it's your word against theirs.

As cc says, it's best to get EVERYTHING in writing. Was this the only shop that Geico would allow you to use? Two months is a long time for them to have your vehicle, that's for sure.

You say they said the check was not signed, who needed to sign it? Sounds more like excuse after excuse, hoping you will go away.

If you do have it in writing, take them to court for the money they promised to reimburse you for.
