Whirlpool Complaint - Whirlpool Cabrio Clothes Washer

Review by roadhog381 on 2011-04-11
We bought this washer around 4 years ago and had no problems till lately. The washer sounds like a jet engine and slings grease out from under the machine. I did some research from other forums and found out that it is probably the bearings and tub assembly that needs to be replaced, $$$ .What junk. We had our other model for 18 years and invested very little.

I'm not putting any money in this machine in light of what I have been reading.

That's probably a good decision. Do yourself a favor and buy a basic washing machine with only the features you need. It will last longer and be cheaper to repair. And from what I've read about Cabrio, it will also do a better job cleaning your clothes.

I second that emotion. These new fangled washers that can cost thousands have proven to be maintenance and financial nightmares. If you can grab a conventional top loader, get it. I hear manufacturers are going to be forced to discontinue that format in 2012. Remember, you heard that here first.
