Budget Rent-A-Car Complaint - Double Charged and Mis-explained
I have used Budget for years and also will never return. They have changed their business so much I barely recognize it. I booked online, then with the confirmation the person advised I needed to sign some documents to take the rental (of course), but they were duplicating all that I already paid online so fully charged twice! When called to complain the approach was "too bad, you signed the documents" with no care that I explained I was told I was signing for what I already thought I had, not signing to pay again for the rental car and again for the insurance (which was on the confirmation). Then Customer Service tells me the representative can't see what's on the confirmation at all. So they just make up whatever they want and run it through? I will never, never do business with this company again and also neither will my multitudes of traveling employees. We book things online, from the road, late at night, and show up tired, and don't need to be on CIA-level triple-threat protection against potential fraud, ready to grill our budget employee, when we should be able to just pick up our prepaid car and go. This is a scheister way to do business and they should be morally ashamed.(See also that they have the most complaints on this site and others. I am not surprised, but am disappointed). The car itself and service around pickup and drop off was wonderful, but not worth twice the cost.
