Ashley Furniture Complaint - Extended Warranty. Ya Right
We bought a leather couch from Ashley's over a year ago but got the extended warranty because everything made these days are crap.
The first year was fine. After that I started to feel the wood sticking through the back of the couch. Also it felt like I was sinking into the couch. It is a relining couch so when I reclined my wife and I could feel the wood under our legs on the "padded" reclining part.
They did come and fix the seat, which was broken. They also decided to put fill into the back where I could feel the wood on my back. They said the part where you put your legs was good enough.
I sat in the reclining couch and now all I felt was to big lumps of stuffing that pushed my back so far forward that if I put my head back it would be looking up at the cieling when not reclining.
I told them this was unacceptable. They sent out another guy, which told me he did not see a problem and rudely left the house.
As far as we are concerned this $1600 reclining couch is not confortable any longer. In fact we sit up in the living room most of the time on out 10 year old sectional and watch TV on an old 24" CRT TV rather than sitting on the reclining leather couch to watch TV on my 52" Sony LCD TV.
