Cellular South Complaint - Deposits
Back in October of 2009, I got tired of having no cell phone reception with Sprint. I decided I would close my account with them and try a new company. I chose Cellular South after making absolutely sure I would have service at my house. Their service map said I would have FULL EXCELLENT SERVICE(which I did not get..I have absolutely crappy service but I haven't complained about that part). When I got to the store, I was told I would have to pay a 500 dollar deposit which I was fine with at the time considering I would get this deposit back in ten months. Boy, was I wrong. After calling and calling month after month, I kept being informed that I wouldn't receive my deposit for another xxx amount of months for one reason or another. In December of 2010, I received a check in the mail from Cellular South for 100 dollars that stated it was my deposit refund. I called to ask why I had only received a 100 dollar refund instead of the full 500 dollar refund, & I was told this was an error. I was told to take the check to my local Cell south store, and in two to four weeks I would receive a check for the correct deposit amount. It's now April of 2011 and I still haven't received ANYTHING from Cellular South. I keep calling and speaking to different customer service reps who give me NO INFORMATION what so ever. I talked to someone today that informed me I would have to START OVER with my 10 month billing cycle with no interruptions to get my deposit back.. This company is a joke. KEEP YOUR MONEY AND GO TO VERIZON like I should have done & will do VERY soon.
