Emco Storm Doors Complaint - Emco Storm Doors have cheap closer cylinders

Review by jdguy on 2011-04-15
I purchased 2 Emco Storm Doors last summer. A couple of months ago the wind caught the door and pulled the door cylinder apart. After a call to the Co.

I was told if the wind caused the damage I am on my own and would have to purchase a new one. Well today another door cylinder was pulled apart same spot as I came in. Not buying the wind excuse any more.

This company has a week product. Very poor policy to charge the customer for hardware that should be able to withstand a windy spring day.

Emco storm doors are inexpensive(cheap) and are the bottom line of storm doors. Their closers are no different.

Exactly what fast327 said...you get what you pay for. Their parent company, Andersen, makes a much better product under their Andersen name.
