Hotels.com Complaint - Hotelsscam.com - Customer Service
My wife had to rush to Brazil to attend the funeral of her dad. Since her flight connections traveling back included a huge layover in sao Paulo, I booked her a hotel near the airport via hotels.com.
When she arrived at the hotel, stressed, emotional, there was no record of the reservation, although she had the full details with her. She had to pay for the room again.
I have now contacted hotels.com 4 times, spending at least 30 minutes on the phone each time. I have faxed them proof of the payment. They say they cannot reach the hotel. Yet, when I call the hotel, the phone is answered immediately.
Hotels.com is not even offering a full refund, but a coupon for a discount on a future booking. These guys are crooks. They have their call center in the Philippines, all sweet as can be, but in the mean time, you get screwed completely.
I advise everyone: do not use this service, you will get stuck in difficult situations in difficult locations. This hotels.com is a scam.
