Target Complaint - Customer Service Sucks!!!
TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN -- On Monday the 11th of January 2010 at approximately 915pm I went to Target to return a defective duffle bag. The first time I used it the zipper broke on a trip that required me to fly. This caused a hug hassle because the airline had to give me a plastic bag so I could secure my clothes. I went to the customer service desk. The lady there told me that because I didn’t have a receipt there wasn’t anything she could do and she wasn’t even sure if the bag came from Target. I assured her I did purchase the bag there. I asked who I could talk to about returning the bag and she gave me an 800 number to call. I told her that wasn’t what I had in mind and asked if there was a supervisor or manager who could help me. She than called for a woman I think named Becky or Holly. She called her twice on the radio but never got a response. The customer service lady than told me that she thought she was on a break and she wouldn’t answer her radio if that was the case. Two male employees who worked at the luggage department stated Target did use to carry the bag but it was a while back. The customer service lady told me even if I had the receipt the return policy stated something to the effect of no returns after 60 days. Again I asked who I could talk to and she said the only person I could talk to was Becky/Holly. I asked if there was anyone else and she told me no. I than asked well who does Becky/Holly answer to and she told me “Holly/Becky answers only to herself.” So than I asked if she owns the store? I was told there wasn’t a store owner. So again I asked if there was manager or someone at the store on a daily basis that I could talk to.
I was than told by one of the luggage employees that I could talk to the store manager. I wrote several letters to Target but all they did was give me an 800 to call & a lot of non sense. I haven't nor will I ever buy anything at target again!!!
