Priceline Complaint - Priceline package PRICELINE screwup~!!
I booked a air/hotel/car package with Priceline over the phone. The rep, at the time, said everything went through, and I received a confirmation email. A few days had passed and I needed a receipt for my employer. I called Priceline because I had never received a dollar total for the package. The person on the phone told me "the package was not accepted because of the hotel." No email, no phone call, nothing. Good thing I called or I would have showed up at the airport with on reservations. Rep asked me if I wanted to book another package and I said NO THANKS.. A bit later, I called again, got another person and confirmed with them that my package was not accepted. They indicated that it was not.. and that I was not being billed for the package. AFter doing this, I went through a local travel company for another package of reservations. A few days later, my employer shows me the company credit card statement and Priceline had billed us 1100 dollars for the pacakge that was supposdly cancelled. Needless to say I went through the roof! Called Priceline, spoke to a handfull of different people, some of which were hard to understand... Bottom line was I was SOL! Gathered all my documentation, narratted a memo for my employer and the credit card company and opened a dispute for the entire amount. After explaining to the bank representative what had occurred, she could not believe it. Bank indicated they would give Priceline 30 days to respond to the dispute. Bank representative was very helpful and indicated there was a great likelyhood of getting the charges credited back to the account. Nice job PRICELINE! Complete ripoff.. Stay way clear of them..
