Wells Fargo Bank 1102 Clinton Ave. Irvington, Nj 07111 Complaint - An Inside Job?
At first, I thought that the loss of driverr's liscense was a very annoying stroke of bad luck, but it may hav e been a blessing in disguise!
The DMV's insistence as part of their six point program in order to replace my liscense caused me to enter my safe deposit box to retrieve the passport and birth cerrtificate that I had stored there. Can you imagine my consterrnation when I realized that my box had been robbed!!!! That impregnable box lodged in one of this nation's premier banks had been robbed with seeming impunity.
How could this have been accomplished is what I need explained to me. When asked however, neither the Wells Fargo bank officials, nor the Irvington Police Department could explain it.
My birth certificate, my passport and $40,000 worth of United States EE bonds stored there, were all gone!
Upon realizing my loss, I of course notified the bank. I was treated politely and even given a phone number that I could call inorder to report
my stolen bonds. Next I paid a visit to the Irvington Police to file a complaint, but they directed me to return to the bank to get a written my complaint written on bank letter head before they would file my police report. Back at the bank, I was told that it was against Wells Fargo police to put complaints in writing, and I was not given anything that ould satisfy the police.
I have no confdence that this matter will be investigated, hence my plea to you and warning to pensioners like myself not to rely on the authorities alone to protect your valuables. Apparently, some insiders have discovered a foolproof way to enter safe deposit boxes at will.
