Kentucky Fried Chicken Complaint - Here's your sign...
KIRTLAND, NEW MEXICO -- I stopped by after work and decided to go inside, since the drive-thru was backed up. As I entered the dining area, I soon found it was just as slow.
But I had a hankering and craving for the honey bbq sandwich, so I was willing to wait. Anyone that's ever had that yearning...can relate. So I waited...and waited...and waited some more.
After what felt like 30-40 minutes, it was finally my turn. The cashier asked for my order and after asking for the #7 combo (honey bbq), the next words out of her mouth was the last thing I expected to hear. "I'm sorry sir, but we don't have that today". She didn't seem certain why, she just knew they didn't have any today.
I asked her why no one cared to hang a sign on the door, and she just shrugged as though she really didn't care. I politely (yes, politely) thanked her for wasting 30 minutes of my life and then headed for the door.
I wanted to complain to a manager but as backed up as they were, it probably would've consumed twice as much time as I spent wasting away in line. Very poor customer service in my opinion. At the very least, a small sign on the counter or register noting the lack of the menu item would have sufficed.
