Eastman Kodak Company Complaint - All Kodak Printers Should Be Burned - ESP5

ESP5 - Complaint
Review by bjp67 on 2011-04-20
I purchased an esp5 product in September and haven't been able to get a minimum of 20 good printed pages out of it yet. They sent me a new printerhead which hasn't helped. The cartridges run out of ink well before they should. I have bought a lot of computer accessories in my 67 years and a lot of Kodak products.

All in all, their service is lousy, and their products are even worse. They will never get another dime of my business and I pray others will be forewarned about what to expect when dealing with the illustrious Kodak folks! A total waste of $150.

I am on my second Kodak Printer. So far no issues and the ink seems to last about average for a home printer. I suppose it is all in the level of use.

Kodak used to be the top notch film in its day. I dont even remember the last time i purchased a kodak product, maybe 7-8 years a go, my last roll of film. As far as electronics, no thanks.

Why is that P-C? Do you have a reason to dislike Kodak electronics? I looked at some reviews, and it looks like they make a decent product. I think their stock has done well recently also. Not bad for a film company that no longer makes film.

I agree with Prince...Kodak should stick with cameras. I didn't have a very good experience with a Kodak printer either and did a review on it:

I have a Kodak 3250 printer, and I also get about the same number of pages I got with my Canon or HP printer, the main difference being that the cartridges cost me a whole lot less. I really get a laugh out of people who have one bad experience, and make statements like 'all similar products should be burned.' I had a Lexmark I bought at WalMart because it was less than $30. When the micro-filled cartridges that came with the printer ran out after about 15 pages, I discovered that a pair of cartridges cost right at $60. I gave that Lexmark to Goodwill, pronto. If you have a problem with one machine, say so, but the comment was ridiculous.

Kodak is sort of like Bell & Howell... A once good name that was essentially purchased and used simply for name recognition. The same people that made your film didn't make this printer.

Lasers cost a bit more, but if you don't need color, they're the way to go...
