McDonald's Corporation Complaint - Ten minutes in the drive thru!
I went to McDonalds yesterday afternoon on my way to pick up my husband from work. There was only one car ahead of me. I order my food: a cheeseburger meal (2 cheeseburgers, large fry, large drink)and I am asked to pull up. I start to pull up but there is someone else in front of me who apparantly had been asked to pull up as well but decided not to pull up very far. The car behind me gets up my rear so now I am trapped.
The lady in the car in front of me gets her food and is about to drive off. But wait... she turns the car off and goes inside. By now, the car behind is backing off and getting their food. Finally, the lady in front of me gets back to her car and drives away. I pull up (far enough so I am not in the way) and wait... I count six cars come and go through the drive thru. I look at my receipt and see that I ordered my food ten minutes earlier.
I park in a parking spot and go inside. I tell them I was waiting for my food outside and the manager has the audacity to ask me "Well, did you pull up?". I said "Yeah, I've been pulled up for ten minutes!" Now, the manager finally gets it and jumps on her employee to pull out two cheeseburgers from the oven while she gets my fries. Then she apologizes and is sincere in her apology.
I would understand if it was busy but there wasn't a single person inside and only one person ahead of me in the drive thru. At least the manager was truly sincere in her apology. Good thing I left an extra 30 minutes early to get my husband.
