Pepsi Cola Complaint - Pepsi can leakage issues: EPIC FAIL
OREGON -- Is it just me, or is there a problem with the packaging process at the Pepsi distributor for Costco in Portland, OR? We've been purchasing Pepsi products for many months from Costco without any issues, but now, THREE times in four months we have purchased 36-packs of Pepsi from Costco and like always put them in our firm's kitchen cupboard only to notice weeks later some leakage in the cupboard, with many of the soda packs (including the affected one) soaked with dark sticky soda. Upon inspection, it turned out that several cans of Pepsi were EMPTY, right there inside the UNOPENED case, having slowly leaked the contents through super-tiny pinhole puncture(s) along the bottom rim of the can! It looks like there was some roughing up going on in the packaging process, possibly by faulty machinery. The leaks are slow enough to be undetected at the time of packaging and even purchase, until they've been sitting for weeks, which is a FAIL for the consumer. I have cleaned up huge, sticky spills in our kitchen three times because of this, and so I am hoping the Pepsi corporation takes notice and looks into all packaging facilities in the Northwest, especially the Portland area, to find out what is causing this mess! HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? Why does it seem to only happen to Pepsi cans?
