Gold Connection International Calling Card Complaint - Ripoff - Calling Card

Review by RRX on 2011-04-23
I bought a 'GOLD CONNECTION' International calling card with 3 hours of international time, and I used it for 4 minutes and the first day. I tried to use the next day, and their operator told me that I did not have any more time in my card. don't get ripoff like I got.

I tried to find their website and they don't even have it on the back of their calling card.

The calling time offered by these cards varies in most cases depending on the country you are calling. In some cases the value is also used up by a "connection fee". You may want to read the fine print on the card to see exactly what the charge per minute is and if there is a connection fee.

I also could not locate a website for them. The card is manufactured and distributed for sale by:

Dynamo Distribution, LP

If you are using these cards only for domestic calling, you would be better off not buying an "international" calling card. Phone calling cards, often those issued by AT&T, IDT Clear Minutes, or those sold under a retailer's or grocery/drugstore/discounter's name (such as calling cards issued under the "Kroger", "Walgreens", "CVS", or "Walmart" names), would be your best bet. The only fees on those calling cards are if you used them at a pay phone (try finding one of these now...). The "international" cards, often issued by unfamiliar companies (such as the card pictured) are often sold by corner convenience stores or gas stations, and do have fees that eat up the minutes. Typically, one call outside the US would use up the value of that card. For domestic calls, stick with the store-brand or name-brand calling cards.

That card says $5. You can't get 3 hours of international time for $5 - it would be more like a couple of minutes. Did I miss something?
