Orbitz Complaint - Absolutely Horrible!!!
Resolution Update on 05/04/2011:
It doesn't take care of the frustration my friend and I have had to go through but I was given a $50 voucher for a future trip.
I have used Orbitz before because they usually have the best prices and have never had problems before. However, I was booking an Alaska Airlines flight for my friend and her card kept getting declined even though he had more than enough to cover the $220 ticket. We used my card instead and it went through. I check my bank account the next morning and had an Alaska Air pending charge $440! After contacting both Orbitz and my bank I was informed that they put a hold to make sure the account has enough $$ to go through. Ok...frustrating but I didn't have anything that needed to clear my bank so I didn't need to freak out (still think they need to make it VERY clear that there could be a hold on your account though!).
HOWEVER, my friend discovered that they charged my friend's card for EACH attempt...over $800!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She did have bills that needed to come out and in turn bounced!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience!
