Blue Ridge Nissan Complaint - 2012 Nissan GT-R - Failed to deliver car as promised!

Failed to deliver car as promised! - Complaint
Review by 2012 GT-R on 2011-04-29
WYTHEVILLE, VIRGINIA -- Ryan Mathesius agreed to transfer the above mentioned car to Paul Walsh Nissan in Macon Ga. When the car arrived at Blue Ridge Nissan, the 2012 Pearl Blue Nissan GT-R was prepared and placed on the showroom floor. This dealership never planned to finish the deal as planned. The car was then sold to another customer. We had already traded our BMW M-3 and put a downpayment on the same car, we also had a loan, with a bill of sale and insurance on the car he sold with the same VIN #. When contacted Ryan refused to talk to us and his partner John told us the car was already gone to have a great day! So before you buy a car from this dealership...PLEASE check with the BBB of Virginia as a complaint has been filed! However on good note...Nissan Headquaters has been VERY helpful! They made the deal happen in the end with another car and different VIN and with another dealership!

How strange. So you signed a sales contract, got a loan, and were ready to pick it up and they sold it to someone else??? I'd be upset too.

When you say you "traded" the m-3, you didn't do that without receiving the new car, did you?

Thank heavens Nissan made this right for you. Helpful complaint.

That happened when I bought my Honda. They got me another car - didn't they at least OFFER to get you another car? It ended up that I had to wait about 3 days and I didn't get my original color but they took off a few dollars for that. I mean, if they accepted your trade what do they expect you to do? Walk home??

Wow, this is the kind of complaint that makes me want to call that dealership just to inform them that read this complaint, just so that they know other consumers are listening.

Is that even legal? If you have a bill of sale with that VIN, wouldn't that be breaching the contract? Id be livid, especially if the color wasn't available in another car at that time.

BlueDiamond - Just a quick FYI - The car in question is a 2012 NISSAN GTR with a sticker price upwards of 90,000!!! Ummmm, your Honda...maybe 25-40 thousand and the problem isn't anywhere near the same. :( Sorry, just an observation. :)

In that case Mario, you are absolutely correct. They probably couldn't have "found another one" as easily.

:) Thanks Blue - At least you are reasonable. :)
