Days Inn Complaint - Worst vacation experience ever!
PORT ARANSAS, TEXAS -- First of all, I made reservations 3 weeks in advance in Port Aransas, TX. When I showed up I was told that there was something terribly wrong with my room, and that they booked me a room at a different hotel that was paid for. I assumed that that meant that they weren't going to charge me for the room at the days in. The hotel that they sent me to was awful. The door wouldn't shut, the air conditioner didn't work, and it was just horrible. The next morning I checked my bank account and it turns out I was charged for a room at the Days Inn. I went to the hotel and it turns out that they overbooked, and there was nothing wrong with my room because I didn't have one. The manager told me that she paid more for the other hotel (which was a lie, I had the receipt for the other hotel), and she gave me $30. I normally don't complain, but this was the worst travel experience of my life. I called the corporate office and they told me I needed to deal with the manager at the hotel. She offered me $20 (which I didn't take). So what if they paid for the crappy hotel from the seventies?! If I had known I was going to pay the Days Inn price for it, I would have just gotten my money back and spent extra for a nice hotel. Don't ever book here or you might end up staying in the ROACH MOTEL!
