Airborne Express / DHL Complaint - Don't get a contract
ISSAQUAH, WASHINGTON -- Airborne Express is a private package delivery service, like UPS, Fedex, and DHL. In the past they tended to have the lowest rates. My brother and I had accounts with them at different times and in different states, but bailed out for the same reason: they simply will not correct billing errors and they use unsavory practices to try and collect if you don't pay their bogus charges. Specifically, they will threaten the RECIPIENT with collection action if they do not pay what they believe the SHIPPER owes them. I never had any trouble with them when I was on a pay-as-you-go basis and paid the driver with a check, but after the "contract" experience I don't want to deal with these people. Recently they have been taken over by DHL - will this mean better service and ethical collection practices, or will the rot at Airborne infect DHL?
