sonic Complaint - food poisoning
PEARSALL, TEXAS -- I had gone out to eat one Saturday afternoon at Sonic with a close friend of mine, and we ended up the next day in the E.R. The doctor claimed we had suffered a severe case of food poisoning. We gave him all the information he asked, like where we ate last and what was it. We told him we had ate last at Sonic and that it was the only place we had gone out to eat in a while. We ate a 'coney meal deal'. We reported the incident to the Health Department the day we were released from the hospital. We couldn't reach them so we tried the next day, until we finally talked to somebody and all they told us was they didn't have enough people that had gotten sick so they couldn't really do much. We spent two days in the hospital. Two days away from our kids that have to go to school in the mornings. We are single mothers and that was really hard for us to go through being sick and hospitalized just because people don't know how to handle the food where they work at.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I would like for somebody to go and inspect that fast food place. Have somebody repeat the food handling rules to the people that work there. I would like somebody to hear me, not just dismiss me!I would like some compensation.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
