Lov 'N Stuff Flowers Complaint - Luv 'N Stuff Flowers

PORTLAND, OREGON -- I placed an order via Florist's' Transworld Delivery (FTD) for a Mother's Day bouquet of flowers to be delivered on 05/07/2011. The flowers that were delivered were wilted and a number of flower buds had either broken or fallen off the stems. My wife called the florist and asked to speak to the manager. She was told that the manager was too busy to come to the phone and that the manager WOULD return her call. When my wife asked the person about a replacement bouquet she was told that another bouquet would PROBABLY be delivered on Mother's Day which was the next day. After approximately one hour we had not received a phone call from the manager, I called the florist because my wife was unavailable to make the call. When I told the the person that answered the phone that I wanted to speak to the manager she told me the manager was too busy to talk to me.

Not knowing that person I was speaking with was the same person my wife had spoken with earlier, I told her what my wife had been told when she had called. She immediately became indigent and told me that she had told my wife that a replacement bouquet WOULD be delivered to us the next day and vehemently denied that she had told my wife the manager would call us. It was obvious from the lack of concern this person showed that there was nothing else we could do but wait until the next day and see if we received a replacement bouquet.
By noon the next day, we had not received the replacement bouquet so I decided to call the florist again to see what was going on.

This time another person answered the phone and I told her I wanted to speak to the manager. She told me the manager was too busy to take calls. This was the third time in two days my wife and I had been told that the manager was too busy to take calls. I asked whether or not we would receive the replacement bouquet and all the person would tell me was that they were really busy, 6 trucks were making deliveries and that she would check on our order and call me back. I could tell that I was once again speaking to someone who's only responsibility was to answer the phone and tell callers that the manager was to busy to take calls, so I hung up the phone and called FTD.

I told the FTD representative that answered the phone about the problem I was having with Luv 'N Stiff Flowers. He asked me if he could put me on hold so he could call the florist personally. I said yes. After approximately 10 minutes he came back on the line and said that the florist was not answering the phone. I asked if he could cancel the order with Luv 'N Stuff Flowers and place the order with another florist. He said he could. I asked when the bouquet would be delivered and he said it could not be delivered until the next day. I asked him to cancel the order and issue a refund to my credit card. He did this and profusely apologized for the poor service we had gotten from Luv 'N Stuff Flowers.
