Echo weed trimmers/edgers Complaint - Hot Exaust - Echo Trimmer/PAS265

Review by sdman613 on 2011-05-09
Purchased an Echo PAS 265 trimmer and the exhaust burns my arm when trimming.
The exhaust is located at the side of the motor just where the arm wants to
rest, which in turn burns the arm even though they have an guard covering the exhaust.
Looks like they might have an design problem.
This is a pro unit and is rather expensive.
I'm not using it now because of this problem.
Had the unit for about two weeks.
The business I bought it from is not interested in taking it back.

I'll bet the business that sold it has no interest in taking it back. It is used now.

I went and looked at gas trimmers, and I had this same concern about many of the ones I examined. It was one of the main reasons I decided to stick with my electric trimmer. It surprised me that that they aren't designed better.
