Ron buchards Nissan Informative - Lemon Car Poor Service

Review by petra on 2005-05-24
FITCHBURG, MASSACHUSETTS -- I bought my Nissan Sentra SpecV 2002 which has 75000 Miles from Ron Bouchard’s Nissan in Massachusetts. Two months ago the check engine light started flashing and the car starts bucking and stops. Ron Buchards diagnosed the problem as a screw coming loose that fell into the intake of the engine. I had the engine replaced at a high cost which takes 2 months and then after I get the car back oil starts leaking from the engine but they could not find the source. They finally fixed the oil leak after two tries. Two weeks after the oil leak, I was driving home from work and my "Servce Engine Soon" light came on and my car started to slow down and then stopped moving.

Fortunately, I had enough time to pull over before the car had broken down. I was really upset because this car has had major problems in a short period of time, and this should not have happened. So the following morning, I called the service center to let them know why my car was there. Two days later service calls and says it appears to be the engine control module and I have to pay for it. I am so frustrated with from Ron Bouchard’s Nissan and my Nissan Sentra. The car is costing me a fortune.

Go to Nissan's official website and look under recalls. I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra also and they just announced a recall because of exactly what you are saying. Nissan dealers are now supposed to fix this free of charge. Hope this helps!

I to had the screw flow from the intake. This is a defect with this engine only. Dont believe the dealer saying its the module. Its probaly the same problem or the screwed up during the engine replacement and shorted the electrical system. I would call nisan corp and a lemon lawyer.
