LG Complaint - Poor quality products and worse customer service
To make things short, We remodeled our kitchen a year and a half ago. Bought all new Lg appliances(except the dishwasher). The microwave did not work when it was installed and Lg refused to replace it, they wanted to send a repair person out at their convenience. Unacceptable! I returned it Home Depot and bought a new one(same model) and made the salesman run it before I took it home. 11 months later the porcelin in the oven started to peel. We called Lg and they said the warranty starts when we paid for it so even though we had used it less than a year it was out of warranty since we had paid for it a month before it was installed. They accused us of damaging the surface. After doing some research I found I was not alone with this problem and Lg will not stand behind their product.
Last night we had a burning smell in our kitchen and found it to be that something shorted in our microwave, which was not being used at the time and now the underside lights will not work on low. Once again we called Lg and told them of our problem and that we were concerned with a possible fire. The answer we got was "unplug it at night" and again we were accused of "consumer error" as if we put something metal in it and ran it. This company sells horrible products and will not stand behind them. Their customer service terrible! Never again will I buy an Lg appliance or recommend them to anyone else.
