AA Auto Protection Complaint - Refuses to Cover Repairs

Review by nallured on 2011-05-10
WEST DEPFORD, NJ -- I purchased an extended warranty plan from AA Auto Protection in December 2010 for my 2005 Chevy Avalanche. One area that I discussed with the salesperson was the fuel system whcih he assured me was covered. I discovered that the truck had a fuel leak 2 days ago and brought it in assuming that there would be no issue since my warranty covers the fuel system. However, the company is telling me that because 2 fuel lines were rubbing together it's not covered. What a ripoff. They are using semantics to weasel out of the claim. I even spoke to the claims manager Denny Mumaw, and he told me that the busted fuel line didn't meet the "definition of a breakdown". This company provides terrible service. Do not buy a warranty from this company.

Never seen an aftermarket car warranty that was worth the paper it's printed on... And most of them won't even print anything on paper.

Sorry you got hosed, but IMHO, anyone that buys one of these is already hosed.
