Godaddy Complaint - GoDaddy Allows People To Break The Law

Complaint
Review by katie kaboom on 2011-05-13
Anyone looking for a company to host their website should stay far, far away from Go Daddy. My husband purchased a website from them for a company he was co-owner of. He and his other two partners then had a very nasty falling out. As a result, one of his ex-partners called up GoDaddy and impersonated my husband and committed identity theft. This ex-partner stole the website from my husband, who paid $300 for it. GoDaddy is aware that this has happened and they have done nothing for us. They are skating around the law because it hasn't yet caught up with today's technology. My husband contacted GoDaddy's "undo department" to try to get the website back and they refused to help. GoDaddy.com sucks and I would not recommend them to anyone!

Have you contacted the authorities or hired an attorney?

The real issue is with the ex-partner.

Although I have not done webhosting with Godaddy(and, had no problems with them), I have had other parterships with them. Why are you writing this review for your husband?

Ript's comment is spot on.

Second party reviews are worthless in my opinion. Go Daddy has no responsibility to play mediator between your husband and his partners. Your barking up the wrong tree here.

The seven trumpets begin to sound in the distance, as Justice and Ript actually agree on something.
