BBB Complaint - Better Business Bureau won't take complaints about themselves.

Review by V. on 2005-05-26
Better Business Bureau USA

Better Business Bureau where are the complaints against them? They don’t take complaints about their own organization. How bias is that and unfair to businesses and consumers nationwide? Very….They can report on everyone else except themselves.

We looked up a friends business and they had all the incorrect contact info, they called them about 2 years ago to change it, they did not. They state they update and change their web site and information daily. Just a plain flat out lie!

When you type in the BBB local sites for a look up, they give all their local bio information.
So what entities do we send in complaints about the BBB to?
Who rates the non-profit one-sided business?
Any info or suggestions on whom to contact and how to make complaint reports on the BBB are appreciated.

The BBB has no reason to not update incorrect info, unless they believe from other sources, the info provided by a company is in fact false. Instead of complaining to the BBB about themselves, which is obviously impractical, just submit the correct info again. maybe it slipped through. All BBB chapters have information update sheets you can get online. Fill it out and submit it. However, if you are asking them to change something and they flat out say no, then they have provided additional info as to their position. If they are right, then you have no beef. If they are wrong and you can prove it, you can take them to court.
