United Airlines Complaint - Mileage Plus new cheats
Only one year ago, flying from A to B cost lets say 20K miles.
Today, the same route is 40K and on some cases even more.
Does anybody know of a class action for this reap-off?
At least, they should honor the awards earned at the same ratio of rewards when the miles were earned.
In other words, if when I earned 50K miles and was able to buy 2 tickets, those 50K miles should still have to be able to buy the same 2 tickets (at least for the 18 months that those miles are valid).
Another reap-off here. Before, it used to be 36 months.
With the new miles earned after the program changed, then if one accepts (by continuing on the program), I may agree that the NEW 50K miles should buy only ONE NEW award ticket at the new ratio.
Has anybody received at least an email prompting of this new change?
All I get is the junk mail for promotions to fly from Kazakhstan to Antarctica for $100. Nobody uses those routes and if you want to do it just for the fun, oops, sorry the last seats just sold out a fraction of a second ago. You were not quick enough with your mouse...!
Despite the earthquakes, the cities have not doubled in distance between them, but the Mileage Plus program imposes a mandatory reduction on everybody's miles of 50% or more. This is not an isolated case of an unhappy customer.
