Fashion Bug Compliment - Fantastic Customer Service! - Allowed exchange even though store is going out of business

Allowed exchange even though store is going out of business - Compliment
Review by CrystalSword on 2011-05-21
CHEHALIS, WASHINGTON -- I went into the Fashion Bug on NW Louisiana Ave. in Chehalis, WA and bought 3 pair of pants and two blouses, but was in a hurry and didn't try them on.

Got home and got a few minutes to try them and the one blouse fit perfect, the turtleneck sweater was a bit large and the sleeves too long but I can fix the sleeves, a little loose otherwise is how I like my sweaters.

Bear in mind, we have a wedding tomorrow and I needed something for that, the bride requested NO DENIM and the only dress I have....is denim!! I found a beautiful blouse that can be worn with a variety of pants, skirts, shorts, whatever, and it will go with all three of the pants purchased.

I tried the pants on and they all but fell down to my ankles, I've worn the same size for about 15 years so that is the size I bought....LOL....
wrong answer!! I called the store and explained my dilemma and even though they are going out of business (lost their lease) they said normally they would say no, but as long as I got the same style and color, to come on in and see if they had my size. Needless to say, I was out of here and took care to try the pants on this time....YAY!! All three pair fit beautifully and I'll have a nice outfit for an outdoor wedding!

Kudos to the girls at Fashion Bug for caring and I do hope they find another location to re-open the store. BTW....3 pair of pants and 2 blouses were $9.72 and would have retailed for $99.21 with tax.......OMG!!!! Am I happy? You betcha!!!!

Nothing makes me happier than a good bargain. It was nice of them to let you make an exchange. Have fun at the wedding!

Fashion Bug does have great deals and they are always mailing me coupons. Glad to hear they exchanged the pants with no hassle

Even though you've worn the same size in the past, I've tried on jeans, liked the fit and promptly bought the two remaining pair in the same brand, size, stock number, color etc although I didn't try those on. I would discover, when home, they didn't fit. I wish manufacturers would get their sizing together. Nice compliment Crystal because it's almost unheard of a *going out of business* store allowing returns of any nature.

Nohandle - yeah I had that happen too. I was buying some jeans I liked and just went in and picked out a pair because I'd worn the brand before and knew exactly what size I was.

Wrong. It was cut wrong and was 2 sizes too small. Eventually I fit into them though, but meh.

Fashion Bug has some great deals. I was disappointed when they stopped carrying clothing in my size.

I'm hoping that Fasion Bug opens another store in the area, otherwise I have to go clear to Olympia and I have no idea where their stores are there. This one lost its lease, they refused to renew with the high rent increase.

The exchanged pants are a tiny bit loose but washing and going through the dryer should fix that, another size down was out of the question, they'd have been too small.

Time to get ready for the wedding so will check online when we get home.
