Spirit Airlines Complaint - Spirit Airlines suck!
I posted this on Spirit Airline's comment/feedback site. However, I don't think that they are going to make it public. So, please pass this on to your friends.
My first reaction is so visceral, that if I were to express what I now feel in everyday vernacular, it may not be printed, as it is, it probably won’t. However, keep in mind that the internet is a powerful tool.
I am 60 years old, I have flown nationally and internationally. My experience with your airline is the worst I have ever experienced!
Aside from charging $30.00 for usage of the overhead compartment, or $28.00 (BIG savings of $2,00) if the customer chooses to check in the baggage that most reputable airlines do not charge for. You also have the audacity to charge the customer for expressing a preference on the seating arrangement!!!
Once in the plane, you do not even provide the most basic of services without a charge…WATER!!!!!
On 5/22/11 flight number 731 to LAX was delayed several times and finally canceled.
The following day, my son spent 3 hrs. on the phone to try to get me the next available flight with your airline (my wife and son had to book another flight with another airline due to work commitments). The phone number you provide, has been outsourced to India, and it is very difficult to communicate the particulars of the problem here in the U. S.A.
You tried to tax me TWICE!!! Once, for the ticket that I never used because you canceled the flight, AND for booking the next available flight with your airline!?!??
Your representative, a supervisor, in India (as a side note, I am an immigrant, and my first language is not English) admonished my son that if he did not stop using slang you would hang up on him. I assure you, the words he used, were not slang; you can find them in a Webster’s dictionary. However, even you can understand his, and my level of frustration.
I am advising everyone to avoid using SPIRIT AIRLINES at all costs!
