Sears Complaint - Craftsman lawn mower
WYSOX, PA, PENNSYLVANIA -- Purchased a $1700 Craftsman lawn tractor and had it delivered on 4/26/11...unfortunately I bent the blades on 4/27/11; however I ran to the local Sears store where I purchased the tractor and purchased two new blades. Put the blades on the tractor and spent many hours cutting my grass since replacing the blades! Last night 28 days into the purchase of this new hydrostatic Craftsman lawn tractor the tractor stopped moving -- no forward and NO reverse! I contacted the local store was told NOPE we will NOT honor the 30 day satisfaction gurantee, you can contact the 800 number, which I did. The person from Customer Solutions made a case for the tractor and advised the local store would receive the authorization to REPLACE the tractor. The store manager from the WYSOX, PA store called me and told me he had the option of replacing or not and he was choosing not to as I hit a rock with the tractor when I bought it. I am NOT disputing that! BUT I FIXED the blades! The blades are NOT what makes the tractor go forward or reverse! Customer solutions upon a return call from me advised because this is a local owned "home town store" that the owner/manager could make their own call on things and did not have to honor the guarantee! WHAT? I have contacted the BBB and am hoping for a resolution! I have NO money to buy another tractor! This is INSANE!
