TiVo HD Complaint - Misleading and Misdirecting of Customers - TiVo

ALVISO, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a used TIVO in 2010 because the company did not have any of the HD models that were new and my older one had broken. I asked about how long the wait would be for a new one, but was told they did not know when I would be able to obtain one. So, I bought the reconditioned one. Two weeks later a friend bought a new one, they had come out with a new model, the Premire. No one, in any of my calls ever mendioned there was a new model coming out.

Is the reconditioned one working for you and did it cost less than a new one? Any chance TiVo will allow a trade up?
